The Role of Sensorized Tyres in Future Mobility
Pirelli has been pioneering since several years innovative solutions for tyre-mounted sensors which communicate with the vehicle and enable a series of advanced functions, and now they have been integrated in a series car.
Tyre mounted sensors are best positioned to effectively monitor tyre-ground interactions generating data that are processed by sophisticated algorithms to derive valuable features for modern vehicles.
ADAS or Autonomous Driving functions can benefit of these additional information complementing other vehicle technologies.
The presentation will describe the technical challenges, the applications and Pirelli vision on the role of tyres in future mobility.
